DOUBLE STANDARDS

Nothing's more hateful than using God
To quench a murderous need
But an arrogant patriotic society
Spits double standards indeed

A righteous gang with double face
Treads a dangerous slippery slope
Thriving on the sorrow of innocents
They've deprived the world of hope

This evil trend's absent of God
Yet, He's used at every turn
But once bitten and twice shy
Is something we've yet to learn

When God's used as convenience
For every lustful greedy whim
The heart reveals unkind intent
And the soul lies faded and dim

God help us all in the coming days
As New Order sweeps the globe
In hypocrisy many will suffocate
Still others don the reaper's robe

They've packaged it as "values"
The morality of the chosen right
In truth it's fanaticism and lunacy
When black's dressed as white

We can only pray it's not too late
For fakes to uncover and be seen
Though deadly double standards
Have invaded our darkest dream.
