Today's great whore of Babylon
murders an innocent woman
The legal killing of Terri Schiavo
a disabled woman without a voice

Our prayers live on in her heart
as death by starvation nears
A lack of compassion and mercy
does not go unnoticed by God

What did they miss Terri
but your silent plea to stay alive
Now denied the sacraments at Easter
during these your final hours on earth

You don't know me Terri Schiavo
but I know you by your courage,
by your strong will and Love for God
A gift of beauty you bestow on all

Dear Terri, as you sail on to paradise
know how dearly Loved you are
O dear God in heaven forgive this atrocity
for they know not what they do.
